When letters come alive: a typeface of its own for reconnect.iA.
A monolinear, rounded type family drawn letter by letter so the brand name reads as one continuous stroke, plus the claim rendered in three dimensions and a motion piece that introduces the whole alphabet.

The starting
point
A brand about reconnecting can't be written in letters that never touch.
· The challenge
reconnect.iA arrived with a name, an idea and a lowercase letter acting as a hinge, but no alphabet of its own: every piece was set in a different typeface and the brand read differently everywhere. It needed a letterform of its own, one that could carry the play on the name, work on a small screen and stay recognisable when the text grows to fill a wall.
· How we tackled it
We drew the full family from the gesture of the logotype: one single weight, rounded terminals and joins that hint at continuity, so words look traced in a single line. With the alphabet settled, the claim was set in three beats and taken into volume, matte finish and soft light. The motion piece completes the system: the letters assemble on screen and explain the brand without a word of voiceover.
A typeface of your own is the brand's voice before it says a word.
From logotype to alphabet.
